Information provided in each Aid Agency Report represents what each individual agency provides. This process involves an initial interview, followed by a verification of all data before it is made available on this web site. All data is updated on a regular basis.
Bilingual Field Research Teams conduct interviews with agency staff members. Field Researchers also gather any documents and literature an agency will provide for D-TRAC's Resource Library of Tsunami relief information.
[1]Interviews last approximately one hour. The Research Team gathers information on all of the aid agency's projects in the Tsunami-affected provinces, districts, subdistricts, and villages. This includes all relevant contacts, addresses, the status of individual projects, donors, and requests for assistance by the agency.
D-TRAC compiles a draft of the Aid Agency Report, and then submits the draft to the respective agency (in Thai and English languages) for review in hard copy or by e-mail. D-TRAC follows all revisions, as stipulated by the aid agency.
Hard copies of Aid Agency Reports are made available in the Thai and English languages in D-TRAC's Resource Library almost immediately. Reports in both languages are made available on this web site within one month of the interview date.
Field Researchers conduct follow-up interviews with aid agencies every three months, so that all data remains up-to-date and relevant. Beside these regular updates, any new information and data provided by agencies in the interim is immediately processed and the appropriate revisions made. Agencies wishing to submit any new data or update existing information may do so by e-mailing survey@d-trac.org [2].
