Robert Nock

Assistant Director – IT

Born and raised in Stockport in the North West of England, Robert completed a BA in European Politics at Loughborough University. His first job involved project managing the delivery of IT solutions for Electoral Registration and Management services. This increasingly technical work was then complemented by an MSc. in Business Information Systems at Keele University.

Following this study Robert worked for a software consultancy in London for 4 years. Over this time he became senior company member, leading a team of technical consultants. The team oversaw the installation of integrated business-management systems and provided consultancy on maintenance and disaster recovery strategies for these systems. Robert's team was also responsible for the IT infrastructure of the 40 person company.

In February 2006 Robert applied his technical skills to the design and implementation of the Disaster Tree project, an online gateway supporting effective aid delivery.

After initially joining D-TRAC as volunteer in the first half of 2006 Robert agreedto join D-TRAC permanently as IT Coordinator and was recently promoted to Assistant Director of IT.
